Workshopwise is an immersive AR/VR platform designed to help students confidently explore and understand complex machinery and workshop tools in a safe, interactive environment. The goal was to reduce the fear and hesitation students often face when working with real machines for the first time, by offering a virtual, hands-on learning experience. The project began with user interviews and observations of engineering students in lab settings. Insights revealed a gap between theoretical knowledge and hands-on application, often resulting in confusion or lack of confidence. Workshopwise bridges this gap by simulating real workshop scenarios using augmented and virtual reality, allowing students to learn at their own pace, repeat tasks safely, and visualize mechanisms in 3D.
